The Best iPad Apps & iPad Resources

It seems that almost everyone affiliated with educational technology (EdTech) is jumping on the iPad bandwagon and compiling a list of the Best iPad Apps for Education.  Why should I be any different?  Here I am offering a collection of lists that have been compiled from PCMag, as well as my pretty thorough online searches for the best of the best.

These resources are the best I've found so far, but they are not strictly EdTech iPad apps.  There is plenty here for everyone.  Please feel free to offer your own insight and personal lists that might help others out.

And these barely scratch the surface.  When I attended the last MACUL (Michigan Association for Computer Users in Learning) Conference, it could have easily been an iPads-only conference.  That is how many sessions there were on the iPad.  Any session with the word iPad attached to it was automatically filled to capacity.  All pre-conference workshops were also sold out.  You get the picture.  iPads are here to stay, and in the next few years it will be very interesting to see whether they really do replace textbooks, notebooks (the pen & paper type) and laptops, or just complement previous tools used in educational technology already.

  1. Thanks for the tips Mark. These will be great to look over for use with the new school ipads. I have used the appolicious, but haven't tried the others yet.
