How to Remove YouTube's Suggested Videos in Schoology and Google Slides

Learn two great ways to get rid of YouTube's suggested videos, which pop up at the end of each video, even in an educational LMS. Google Slides and the popular learning management system, Schoology, are both featured in this video. Learn two great ways to tame two of YouTube's worst annoyances for teachers.     Get the YouTube embed code:

    Go to the video → Click Share → Embed → Copy the code.

    Add ?rel=0 to the embed URL:

    Find the src part of the code (e.g., https://www.youtube.com/embed/abc123xyz)

    Change it to: https://www.youtube.com/embed/abc123xyz?rel=0

    This limits suggestions to videos only from the same channel.

    Paste the modified embed code into Schoology using the Insert ➔ Embed tool.

    💻 In Google Slides:
    Go to Insert ➔ Video ➔ By URL.

    Paste the video link with ?rel=0 added:

    Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abc123xyz?rel=0

    Google Slides may still show some controls, but this reduces unrelated video suggestions. for better understanding please join our Victorious Digital

Even something as seemingly straightforward as keyboard shortcuts. Who knew how complex this topic could be. You might have wondered why a shortcut like Ctrl+D does one thing in one app or extension, while the same shortcut does something completely different in another. Hopefully, I can shed some light on a bit of the keyboard shortcuts confusion. Here are some things to consider: 1. The keyboard shortcut Ctrl+D in Google Slides or PowerPoint, for example. If you're in Google Slides and you select a graphic object, you can press  Ctrl+D  and it will duplicate the object.
